HP Laser Products and Supplies
Despite advances in the past years by some of the other OEM laser print machine manufacturers, Hewlett-Packard remains a clear leader in the field of laser technology and toner research. HP has, by far, placed more laser print machines domestically and worldwide than all other manufacturers, not excluding Lexmark. Since 2000, HP has introduced a selection of color laser print machines, many more models and those cheaper than before. Color laser print machines, even from HP, are moving into a price range making them possible for even smaller workgroups and offices. Beginning with the HP Color Laserjet 4500, HP has begun incorporating new chips onto their color toner cartridges and OPC cartridges, as well as some of their B/W toner cartridges. Their newest innovation in laser printing technology has been the development of chemically-grown or polymerized color toners, featured first in the HP Color Laserjet 4600 color laser print machines.
