| It is unlikely that you wold use your jet ink printer to print the complete Bible. If you did, you would immensely benefit (economically) by using our jet inks, Jet-Master jet replacement print cartridge refill systems and jet replacement print cartridges. The history of the text of the Old as well as the New Testament is convoluted and complicated if not else considering that the history of the Bible is the history of its interpretations (and of the various languages in which it was originally written). Eventually it was decided that the original official language of the Bible was to be Greek. By the end of the Middle Ages and coinciding approximately with the invention of printing, the Bible became an instrument of war (often bloody). The war was between those who wanted to popularize the Bible thus making it accessible by others rather than just the clergy and the conservatives who wanted to maintain a monopoly on the Bible and its interpretation. The ‘populists’ were usually those who wanted reforms in the Church, accused of corruption. The first complete Bible in English was printed in 1382 by followers of John Wycliffe. In 1516 Desiderius Erasmus printed the first Greek version of the New Testament in 1000 years. |
