In the past couple of years Dell started private labeling a line of Dell brand name ink printing machines based on a couple Lexmark ink-jet print engines. These Dell ink printing machines are only different enough from the Lexmark model upon which it is based to make the Lexmark and Dell ink-jet print cartridges not compatible. Though at this time you can only purchase new Dell brand ink-jet print cartridges directly from Dell, we do offer ink-jet recharge kits with printing cartridge-particular inks for Dell ink printing machines.

| The most ancient written record is in cuneiform font. 'Cuneiform' derives from a Latin word meaning 'wedge' because writers wrote with a stick shaped like a wedge on a damp clay. Since writing coincided with printing we can say that the first printed records are invoices and tax bills, that had to do, beside taxes, with cereals, goats, land exchanges etc. Recording laws in print (apparently) came after printing commercial transactions. The importance of writing (and printing) was made official (in Babylonia) by the official appointment of a Goddess as patroness of the art (of writing). Her symbol? You guessed it the wedge-shaped stick that produced the cunea and the cuneiform script. |
